HUBUNGAN RESILIENSI DAN FAKTOR GENDER TERHADAP HIGH ORDER THINKING SKILLS MAHASISWA TADRIS MATEMATIKA PTKIN DI SUMBAR
Abstract
This article discuss relationship among; 1) resilience to High Order Thinking Skills (HOTs), 2) gender factors to HOTs, 3) resilience to gender factors, 4) resilience and gender factors to HOTs from students of the Mathematics departements in Higher Islamic Education Institution in West Sumatra. The quantitative and correlational descriptive study was conducted on 174 samples from three institutions; UIN Imam Bonjol, IAIN Batusangkar and IAIN Bukittinggi. Data was collected through a mathematical resilience questionnaire, HOTs test, and to strengthen research findings data, interviews still conducted with lecturers and students from the above three institutions. The results of the study indicated that; 1) there was a low correlation between resilience and HOTs of Tadris Mathematics students, 2) higher level thinking ability (HOTs) for female students was higher than for male students HOTs, 3) there was a varied relationship between resilience and gender factors, 4) men have higher resilience but low in HOTs scores, whereas women have low resilience with high HOTs Scores. From all the results that have been obtained, the three institutions are still suggested to be able to do a systematic reflection of mathematics education lectures. It is important to do because, student resilience’s and HOTs are must be improved for produce more competitive graduates.
